National Association of Serbian Blueberry, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
With the aim of presenting Serbian blueberries to domestic and foreign consumers as a premium brand, the National Association of Serbian Blueberries began a cooperation with POSH & media, which is engaged in projects of design of all promotional materials and organization of promotions through events and PR.
High-shrub American blueberry has been grown in Serbia since 2006 as a completely new fruit species. At the very beginning, blueberries began growing in two centers at the same time - in Arilje and Belanovica (near Ljig) and it is currently planted with 100 ha of land. Production in Arilje was supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). If domestic producers continue the trend of increasing plantations, and on an annual level reach an average increase in areas under plantations of 50 ha, in the coming years they can become one of the most important producers in the European Union. " The export of Serbian blueberries to the EU is a chance for domestic agriculture.
In addition to continuous work on the production of all types of promotional materials, POSH & media, in cooperation with the PR agency New Media Team, organized an event with media representatives, which was held on June 22 at the restaurant Mala fabrika ukusa. In addition to the members of the association that attended the event, a large number of media representatives of the USAID Agribusiness Project, the American Agency for International Development, attended as well, which helped establish this organization in January 2010.
In addition to this event, POSH & media also organized the promotion of blueberries at the point of sale in two Maxi discount stores: Alonso Maxi discount store - Gospodar Jovanova 39 and Maxi in Dedinje.
